Too many issues that break the immersion. Fortunately the developer is addressing and an update is coming quickly so I have hopes.. I decided to not use the turn function as it made me feel sick, I could still use other thumbpad to move in any direction and as I was standing I could turn around myself,so no big deal.Other little quirks like chasing my own quiver around my body to try to store an arrow and little graphical hiccups could also be overlooked at this price.I am enjoying the atmosphere for the most part, sound is good and serves to heighten fear.My main problem with this game is that after half an hour of walking and not much happening I glimpsed a monster for the second time and decided to give chase even though I sensed I was supposed to hide in fear, I had to not only chase the beast around the room but stand directly in front of him waving fire in his face(which was not that scary) until I think his hand moved to slash me,there was a roar and I was dead.If I do play again it will be with no sense of fear so maybe no point, shame as I imagined creeping around with shadows of writhing snakes cast upon the wall as medusa taunted me to look at her,so she could turn me to ssssstone, the sound of her voice mixed with that of snakes if worked on just right could be really fear inducing I imagine, maybe other beasts that would each bring another gameplay element, another way to preduce fear in me.Maybe there is more to this game as it unravels but from what I have seen its a missed opportunity, shame really,I have seen so much potential in these vr horror games but unless the core mechanic that produces the fear, that keeps us hanging on that knife edge of not wanting to continue is sound, then the whole thing falls flat and is wasted.A certain vr phone game ,while not perfect ,made me imagine that if it was this good now, then imagine with the extra hardware and graphical fidelity what the future may hold, sadly even though they have their moments, there has been little to no growth and many\/most vr horror games now cannot match what I was playing on a phone a few years ago.Sorry to write a negative review, but I am told I refund too much, which I would have normally did without comment as I am sure there are those that will enjoy this game more than I.On the other hand I hope this helped some on the fence of a purchase and maybe, who knows,it may inspire some artistic soul to make me rip off my headset in the future and nope out a few times.. Cannot recommend. the controls are just terrible and the game is way too short.. Teleport controls barely work and even barely touching the touch pad will send the camera sprawling. This made me feel incredible sick in just under 20 minutes. In order to grip or hold an item you must actually hold down the trigger; this gets old VERY quick. If there is a toggle option I couldnt find it because the system menu barely functioned as well. Hopefully this will be ironed out soon with patches, but for now I cannot reccomend this game.. This looked pretty good from the trailers but unfortunately it's a mess. The game itself is very buggy and\/or just poorly designed. Any semblance of plot is left around the environment in notes you have to pick up. I wasn't keen on the whole "read everything" to get the story, I get some people enjoy that but it's not for me.It's mostly just another "horror walking simulator" with a few interactive bits thrown in. The environment is pretty cool but I was hoping for more of a sprawling maze dungeon, what I got was mostly just a linear corridor with some spooky atmosphere. The real reason why I wouldn't recommend it though is just the bugs:- Anything you pick up just floats in mid-air when you drop it, instead of having any physics.- The bow and arrow weapon attaches to your body incorrectly. When you equip the bow from your inventory it comes out in an awkward angle and you have to keep trying to re-equip it to get the right angle.- Similar problem when trying to place arrows into your quiver, sometimes it won't even catch them and they will suspend in mid-air instead of being stored and then remain where you left them when you walk off. It is extemely frustrating to try and get them to store properly.- Sometimes an arrow doesn't even fire, it just suspends in mid-air with no physics similar to any other dropped item.- I didn't bother playing further but I've heard its only 1-2 hours long. That wouldn't be worth the asking price in my opinion. It is however worth mentioning some positives that they managed to pull off:- Proper Oculus Rift support (not just Steam VR)- Solid Free Locomotion support with several options available for orientation, smooth\/snap turning.- Actually uses the Rift's finger sensing tech in a unique and useful way, by extending your finger it will hit-scan the environment from where you are pointing and highlight anything that can be picked up, then you can press the grip button to pick it up. A great use of a more or less unused mechanic of the Touch Controllers.Overall dissapointing though. Either give it a miss or at least check back in a few weeks time, hopefully they have sorted out the bugs then.. 4\/10Creepy, but broken controls and mediocre graphics spoil this.. I liked it. It's definitely better than most of the VR horror stuff I've played.
